About Us

Today people want to both relish their meal and know where the ingredients are coming from. At Tarla Mediterranean Bar + Grill we stand behind the culinary dishes we create. We take our responsibility of ensuring the origins of our ingredients seriously and pride ourselves on using local, seasonal and organic fare whenever possible. 

Tarla, meaning "field" in Turkish, implies the fertile expanse of earth that can provide for the people around it. True to our namesake, the Tarla Grill aims to yield nourishing, creative, and culturally exciting eats originating from Turkey and Greece, lands heralded for their cuisine and a culture that takes pride in the relationship between mankind and the land!

TARLA MEDITERRANEAN BAR + GRILL –  Chef Jason Naaman

Executive Chef Jason Naaman became interested in the culinary arts in his early teen years, observing and learning from his mother and great grandmother. He was particularly fascinated with the Lebanese cuisine his great grandmother prepared around holiday time and soon, began creating dishes on his own at home.  

At age 18, after leaving art school, he attended The Chefs Academy in Indianapolis, his home city.

Upon completing his studies, he helped to open a restaurant just outside downtown Indianapolis and soon after, moved to West Marin, California. Learning about local and sustainable cooking techniques, Chef Jason took that knowledge to South Orange County where he was the chef of two restaurants. Chef Jason settled in Napa and became part of the thriving Wine Country dining scene. 

One thing Chef Jason has always believe in is “simplicity.” He says, “When you have quality ingredients and good technique, even the simplest of dishes can exceed expectations. Of course, sustainability and sourcing local products are always important in supporting our community, and so is an education of what our land and water have to offer. Even though it may not be the norm, knowing and utilizing our local resources can go a long way in securing the future of the business not to mention mankind.” Chef Jason aims to yield nourishing, creative, and culturally exciting eats originating from Turkey and Greece, lands heralded for their cuisine and a culture that takes pride in the relationship between mankind and the land!

Make a Reservation

Tarla Grill only accepts online reservations for parties of up to 5 people. For parties of 6 or greater, please contact us.
If having trouble finding an available reservation, please give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate you and your party.

CANCELLATIONS AND MISSED RESERVATIONS

Late or No Show Cancellation. You may cancel within 24 hours of your reservation date without penalty. Once your reservation is confirmed, however, the Restaurant is setting aside a table especially for you and you agree to honor the reservation by arriving at the Restaurant on time and paying for a meal. Although we understand that plans change, if you cannot honor a confirmed reservation, you must cancel that reservation through the Services at least 24 hours before the start time. If you cancel a reservation with less than 24 hours until your start time, we may consider that a late cancellation (“Late Cancellation”) and may charge you a fee of $20.00 USD per person for such Late Cancellation (“Late Cancellation Fee”), in our discretion. If you do not cancel your reservation before the start time and fail to arrive at the Restaurant, we may consider that a missed reservation (“Missed Reservation”) and may charge a fee of $20.00 USD per person for such Missed Reservation (“Missed Reservation Fee”), in our discretion.
